Award-winning Kentucky-based journalist Pat Forde has a new home at Sports Illustrated.
The move became official Nov. 1, ending his eight-year stint at Yahoo! Sports. By our calculations, Forde has the second biggest Twitter following of any Kentuckian (after University of Kentucky men’s basketball coach John Calipari). He has previously worked for both ESPN and The Courier-Journal out of Louisville.
“For three decades, Forde has been one of sports media’s most important voices on college sports,” according to the Sports Illustrated announcement, “while also distinguishing himself with Pulitzer Prize-nominated investigative work and stellar coverage of the Olympics and horse racing.”
