The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources launched an experimental project “shocking” dozens of Asian carp right out of the water in Western Kentucky’s Lake Barkley.
The electrofishing boat sends electrical signals through the water, stunning the fish. The dramatic video got attention nationally.
The species is not native to the United States and poses a threat to the native species by feeding on the same food sources.
Kentucky is looking for a way to turn this problem into economic opportunity by creating demand and finding alternative uses for the fish such as inclusion in fertilizers and pet food.

Its a great fish story. (LOL) We actually are pleased to learn our Commonwealth is taking proactive measures addressing the situation. It is understood that our World Trade Centers and U.S. Department of Commerce International Trade Department are working very aggressively securing new Asian Markets (export) for the carp.
