Last year, nearly 77,000 degrees and credentials were awarded, up almost 5% from the previous year and up 39% from a decade ago. These numbers keep the commonwealth on track to meet its goal of 60% of the working population with a post secondary credential by 2030.

Building a diverse and highly skilled workforce requires continued growth among all levels and all demographics.

Data showed significant growth in the number of degrees earned by underrepresented minorities. In the last year, undergraduate certificates earned by these students grew 9%, associate degrees increased 6%, bachelor’s degrees climbed 5% and master’s degrees grew 7%.
