Why do we celebrate when an athlete “goes pro” – but not when other students do? This month, Kentucky turned that tradition around, celebrating the “going pro” signings of more than 2,000 Kentucky Community and Technical College System graduates soon starting careers in advanced manufacturing.
With events at 12 locations around the state, KCTCS worked with Kentucky Association of Manufacturers to celebrate jobs that will both build Kentucky’s economy and fill vacant job positions while supporting a family with an average salary of $51,000.
KCTCS prepares students for careers in computerized machining, welding technology, computer-assisted drafting and more.
