Bridging Kentucky project to replace 100 Eastern Kentucky bridges

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a major design-build project to advance construction of more than 100 bridges in eastern and southeastern Kentucky. The project is part of the Bridging Kentucky Program, a statewide initiative to rehabilitate or replace more than 1,000 bridges over six years.

Kentucky is using an innovative design-build approach to add value to the state’s bridge program by replacing a large group of critical eastern Kentucky bridges as one project. The state will select a design-build team later this year to provide engineering and construction services for the projects under a single contract.
