Kentucky shelters among group receiving 15,000 dog treats

by The 100 Companies

Two Kentucky animal adoption organizations received an extra supply of dog treats as part of a celebration by PetFirst Pet Insurance on its 107th anniversary. (In dog years. In human years, that’s 15.)

The Kentucky Humane Society and Humane Society of Oldham County were among 15 shelters to receive 15,000 treats.

“We were very low on treats for our shelter dogs, so this donation from PetFirst Pet Insurance came at the perfect time,” said Karen Koenig, vice president of animal welfare at the Kentucky Humane Society. “We are happy to help our dogs celebrate PetFirst’s anniversary with these treats.”
