Kentucky exports have seen 15% growth since 2015, up to nearly $32 billion in 2018. Those goods were sent to nearly 200 nations globally. Top products include aerospace parts, motor vehicles, and pharmaceuticals and medicines.
Kentucky’s access to varying types of transportation infrastructure, including UPS and FedEx air hubs, ground and rail transportation, make companies all the more likely to locate their headquarters and new manufacturing facilities in the Commonwealth.
Additionally, Kentucky is within a day’s drive of two-thirds of the U.S. population, increasing the speed at which goods are delivered around the country and the ability to be shipped globally.
