The catch? The iconic throne is an aluminum replica and was made to be a wedding present for his new bride.
Michael Hayes, a Louisville welding student, received national attention for his art that weights 200 pounds, has 300+ swords welded on and cost more than $7,000 to create. Luckily, no one sits on the Iron Throne forever, and the couple is renting it out for use.
