Jobs announcement to stimulate Eastern KY economy

Eastern Kentucky is getting 265 new, full-time jobs as the town of Hazard welcomes Dajcor Aluminum Ltd., a Canadian manufacturer of aluminum products, to the community.

Dajcor plans to use the former American Woodmark facility in Coalfields Industrial Park, investing nearly $19.6 million to locate its first US operation in Perry County.

Kentuckians look forward not only to how Dajcor will reinvigorate Eastern Kentucky’s skilled workforce, but also to the values it brings. Dajcor displays its dedication to creating a family atmosphere in the company’s name, which represents the initials of the CEO’s daughters, Danielle, Alyssa and Justine.
