Insta-famous Kentuckian talks food and eating disorders

Mouth-watering foodie pics may be an obvious draw on Instagram, but one Insta-famous Kentuckian is illuminating more than just great food.

J.C. Phelps II was raised in Jamestown on one of the oldest family farms in Kentucky. He launched the state’s leading food and lifestyle blog in 2017 and has over 40,000 Instagram followers.

While Phelps uses his reach to feature tasty travels, he also reflects on his past struggles with eating disorders, which the National Eating Disorders Association reports will affect 20 million American women and 10 million men at some point in their lives.
