In a recent survey from ApartmentGuide.com, renters expressed concerns beyond simply the ability to pay their rent. Many renters expressed a desire to hear more from their property managers about issues such as:
• Does anyone in the community have coronavirus?
• Are there considerations being given for late payments, or will evictions be delayed?
• What are new policies to report maintenance issues, and what should tenants expect from the maintenance personnel?
While many news outlets are encouraging tenants to reach out to landlords, this survey highlights the need for managers to proactively reach out to their communities to address needs.
