Are you too old to trick or treat? How about a more authentic glimpse into the macabre?
Every Friday evening in October, Waveland State Historic Site – an antebellum house in Lexington – will help visitors explore “peculiar, curious, bizarre and morbid Victorian customs.” Scared yet? They say it’s too creepy for kids 12 and under. There will even be a Fisk casket – an iron coffin popular with wealthy families in the 1800s.
Later on in the month, a candlelit ghost tea and a couple of ghost hunts are planned.
Reservations are required, and ticket prices range from $15-$35.
