From musicals to dramatic plays, Memphis’ Playhouse on the Square produces 15 main-stage productions yearly for audiences across the Mid-South. But the professional theatre company is also committed to continuing arts education.
Starting in June, Playhouse on the Square’s Department of Theatre Education offers a theatre school for adults and school-aged children, after-school programs, touring shows and a Summer Youth Theatre Conservatory. During the pandemic, they also offered digital theatre classes to supplement arts enrichment opportunities for distanced-learning students across the US.
