The power of the pinwheel

Many of us associate pinwheels with lazy spring days or summer festivals from childhood. For hundreds of Kentucky agencies, this whimsical object represents a topic that’s far from idyllic – child abuse.

The annual Pinwheels for Prevention campaign is designed to educate communities on how to prevent child abuse and neglect. Join Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky and its 240 community partners in creating awareness about the importance of safe childhoods for kids.

For Child Abuse Prevention month in April – and every day – let’s commit to learning how to recognize the signs of child abuse, so all kids have an uplifting childhood.
