A new Work Ready Training Center is coming to Barbourville, Kentucky. The new center will offer trade, certificate and postsecondary education opportunities to the region for high-demand career sectors like health care, technology, advanced manufacturing and logistics.

The center is expected to create 10 full-time faculty and staff jobs, and accommodate over 1,000 students and trainees seeking new career opportunities or looking to build existing skill sets.

Organizers expect to begin enrolling students in 2020. The programs will be designed to meet employer demands and offer a fast-track format to help students attain employment quickly after earning their degrees or certificates.
