College affordability is a growing concern, but scholarships help put higher education in reach for families. In October, Morehead State University announced a three-year Soar to New Heights Scholarship Campaign to raise $15 million in scholarship funding.
The most recent scholarship announced is a Food For Thought scholarship, which will provide an on-campus meal plan to a student in order to encourage them to finish college. The scholarship was funded by a 1993 graduate of Morehead.
The scholarships are aimed at both recruiting and retaining students. More than 90 percent of MSU’s student body receives some financial aid.
