A new voice for Kentucky commerce

new Kentucky chamber CEO

Herding cats might be easier than speaking clearly and effectively for 3,800 businesses across the Commonwealth.

But Ashli Watts is up to task. Watts, 37, was recently named the new president and CEO of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. She succeeds Dave Adkisson, 66, who is retiring.

Ashli has been an instrumental leader since joining the chamber staff in 2012. Her knowledge of public affairs and love for her native state have made Ashli an effective advocate for major improvements in policies from economic development to criminal justice.

Her first challenge: convincing lawmakers to increase transportation funding. Talk about herding cats.
