Work is beginning this month to improve safety measures on an accident-prone stretch of the Mountain Parkway in Eastern Kentucky.
Gov. Matt Bevin recently gathered in Magoffin County with local and elected officials to highlight how the newest Magoffin County West segment of the project will benefit the Mountain Parkway Expansion as well as the communities throughout Eastern Kentucky.
This new construction phase will not only increase safety measures on a sharp mountain curve, but it will also add a new interchange at KY 3046. This interchange will provide parkway access to those traveling on Kernie-Ova-Seitz Road.
