An architecture firm as an agent for social change? Luckett & Farley, the storied firm behind the Twin Spires and other iconic Kentucky structures, is expanding its work in new directions with what is called “design activism.” The practice is a commitment to making Kentucky an even better place to live.
“We believe good design has the power to transform communities,” said Aric Andrew, the company’s CEO.
The firm is putting muscle behind its words in west Louisville with three community catalyst projects: the new YMCA at 18th and Broadway, the Louisville Visual Arts building and the Shawnee Park visitor’s center.
