What do France, Italy and Kentucky all have in common? They have cities recently named among the best places to travel in June by Travel + Leisure magazine.
Lexington, Kentucky, has been highlighted with some of the world’s most picturesque vacations spots (along with the Amalfi Coast in Italy and Loire Valley in France) for its bid as the “Horse Capital of the World” and the equine activities and events that go along with that title.
The magazine also highlighted the city for its budding culinary scene and abundance of bourbon. And as every Kentuckian knows – you can’t forget the bourbon.
