Kentucky caviar gains national attention

Caviar most famously comes from the Caspian Sea, and it’s more likely to make you think of Kiev than Kentucky. But today, America’s Best Caviar is produced here in the Commonwealth – and was recently featured on “NBC Nightly News.”

Based in Grand Rivers, the company says it was a supplier of caviar in five-star restaurants and boutiques in New York City before it began offering online sales. In the story, NBC’s Kevin Tibbles tried the caviar and proclaimed it “just right.”

Offering both paddlefish and hackleback caviar, the company’s website experienced a surge in orders after the NBC story.
