The Kentucky Bourbon Trail is 20 years old – with a growing impact on Kentucky’s bourbon and tourism industries.
Forbes recently looked at the marketing approach that made the trail successful. Eric Gregory, president of the Kentucky Distillers’ Association, noted in the story that a survey of bourbon tourists found that 99% would recommend a distillery tour to other people. (When was the last time 99% of people agreed on anything?)
“The Kentucky Bourbon Trail is elevating tourism in Kentucky,” Gregory said in the interview. “Younger, affluent visitors from around the world are flocking to distilleries and stimulating local economies.”
