Getting the flu is no fun, and for some people it can be deadly. Flu shots are a quick, inexpensive way to stop the spread of the disease (many places offer shots at no cost).
The Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services provides flu information, including weekly reports on how it’s spreading around the state.
In addition to getting vaccinated, help prevent the spread by:
• Washing hands often. (Don’t rush. Do a good job.)
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.
• Stay home when sick. If you’re around a coworker who didn’t stay home, double up on washing your hands.
