Get a healthy start to the new year by lacing up your sneakers for a First Day Hike on Jan. 1.
Blue Licks Battlefield State Resort Park is one of the hundreds of free guided hikes offered around the country as part of a nationwide initiative by America’s state parks to get people outdoors.
The one-mile journey will be led by park manager Doug Brown. More than a hike, this is a chance to explore nature and history working together as you traverse the Buffalo Trace Trail. This follows the ancient path where buffalo, Native Americans and pioneers once walked.
