It may feel like your child’s senior year has just begun, but it’s already time to fill out the FAFSA – the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
If your child is counting on financial aid, it’s important to fill FAFSA out as soon as possible to have the best chance of receiving assistance. But even if you don’t think you’ll qualify, most schools require the FAFSA before awarding merit scholarships or other assistance.
Remember, the key word is “free” – if any website is trying to charge you a filing fee, then you’re on the wrong site. Avoid scammers.
