On a Saturday night, my wife, Carla, and I headed to downtown Louisville for the acclaimed musical “Hamilton” at The Kentucky Center.
On the way, we passed the steel skeleton of Louisville City soccer stadium under construction by Messer. In trendy NuLu, streams of people flowed into restaurants and bars. Slugger Field’s glow revealed the Louisville Bats were in town. Near Whiskey Row, tourists filed out of hotel lobbies for a night out.
In the jam-packed theatre, I marveled at how far downtown Louisville has come in a few years. It’s electric and exciting. Look out, Nashville. We’re next.
