Over the past six months, nearly 200,000 travelers filled a reusable bottle with Louisville Pure Tap® – thanks to six branded water fountains located at Muhammad Ali International Airport.
The stations serve four purposes:
• Educating visitors about the city’s award-winning tap water.
• Allowing Louisvillians to fill “one for the road” after passing security.
• Reducing waste by encouraging reusable bottles.
• Reminding business people about the quality of our water.
“In many cities, tap water doesn’t taste great,” said Spencer Bruce, president and CEO of Louisville Water Company. “’Do drink the water’ tells people it’s OK to fill at the tap.”
