Some people shake off the cares of the day by getting together with friends at a favorite bar. Others bask in nature.

Why choose? You can do both.

A new rooftop bar in Covington was inspired by eastern Kentucky’s awe-inspiring Red River Gorge, a favorite destination of restaurant owners Tess and Chris Burns.

The couple opened Covington’s “historically inspired, locally sourced” Commonwealth Bistro in 2016 but recently added the rooftop bar. Their goal was to bring the relaxing feeling of Kentucky State Parks to a city rooftop.

Yonder’s treehouse ambiance includes limited seating to endorse the “coziness of nature.”
