Conference calls can be organized chaos: People join late, followed by everyone talking at once or no one talking at all.
Improve your calls by getting back to basics:
– Wait your turn. It’s natural to be eager to share your next big idea. Be courteous by letting people finish their thoughts before talking about yours.
– Sharing is caring. Share what you’re working on and the challenges you’re facing. It may spark conversation about smarter ways to collaborate.
– Be the line leader. For larger calls, try a conferencing service that lets you mute all lines except the presenter’s until discussion time.
