Forget bourbon. Kentucky has its own beer trail. The Brewgrass Trail, founded by the former president of the Danville Area Convention and Visitors’ Bureau, spans 50 miles and is comprised of 12 Lexington-area breweries.
In fact, the beer industry in Kentucky has grown exponentially in the past few years with breweries like West Sixth recently highlighted for its community focus and hoppy IPA.
An extra incentive for Brewgrass participants (other than crisp, local brews)? If you visit all 12 breweries – earning a stamp in your “passport” at each stop – you’ll receive a complimentary T-shirt. Who doesn’t love that?
