It’s hard to imagine Kentucky’s culture without the undertones of bluegrass music. The acoustic string instruments emphasized by an offbeat rhythm draw many tourists from around the country (and the world) to experience the high lonesome sound.
Owensboro’s Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum represents the best of this genre, drawing 20,000 visitors from 11 countries, 35 states and at least 470 ZIP codes in its first six months.
And with the summer season emerging and bluegrass festivals like ROMP right around the corner, officials expect an uptick of tourism traffic – further showcasing Kentucky’s contribution to the music industry.
