You can’t take the Kentucky out of Colonel Sanders, even when he’s in France.
So it’s fitting that KFC’s latest commercial across the pond features Kentucky art, a whimsical portrait of the colonel, hanging in the background. Created by Louisville artist Andy Perez, who is known for his colorful mixed-media images, the painting is a bright update of the iconic KFC founder.
“People have an image of the colonel that is frozen in time,” said Perez, who is also a graphic designer at C2 Strategic Communications. “But art is timeless, and it’s exciting to be a part of this.”
